Just like to say howdy to everyone on this board. I posted once on the old board and got slammed by some ... well you know what kind of posters, so I walked away. I've been reading this board since it started and have found that there are great folk here. If it is alright with you all I would like to participate off and on. Don't want to be somewhere where I don't feel welcomed. I like what I have seen here and the moderating is superb. By the way I back the Mighty Mathis Pirates. Not the biggest or baddest in 3a, but we show up Friday nights and have fun. Good luck to everyone and pray that the injury bug stays away. Thanks.

Welcome to the downlow!!

I'm sorry about your initial experience here, those posters are few and far between though, as you will find the longer you hang around!!

He's brought a new system down and the players are responding very well. I saw very good things from it and I saw some that well need a couple of more weeks work. They will be fine. I think he graduated from Carrol in Corpus, but I may be mistaken, I'll ask him tonight. We go to Fal.

Wonder if you remember the playoff game against George West a few years back. I believe it was in San Marcos. It was a cold night and I was doing the play by play on a radio station out of Beeville from on top of the Bobcat Stadium press box. Your guys were humongous!!!

No I started announcing the games for Mathis on Friday nights, even announced the game at the Astrodome against Liberty Eyleau? for the DI finals. Got our butts whipped, but had great fun getting there. Now I am the spotter for the home games. Anyone need an announcer, I'm available. I just love this stuff. Best seat in the house, sausage wraps, drinks, and a captured audience. Gotta love it.
