Yep.. he did

Wharton ran 2 kickoff's back for TDs. :nerd:

I am proud of the guys, they could have given up when we were down and they bounced back.

this was a great game: hard fought on both sides.

as a fan what i liked:
cuero: kept fightinh back. had several misstakes but fought together enough to stay in it. several fumbles and two returned kicks against them could have been really bad.

wharton: i think they had between 15- 20 kids, two injuries. this team as freshman last year was hammered by cuero, I think it was like 3-4 td's. kept coming back after cuero continued to score in the 2nd half.

good job both teams

Unfortunately ours do skip jv, heck we had to start 3 fresh and 8 sophs last year on a 1-9 team.

now we start 0 fresh, 8 sophs (again) and 8 Jrs.

so watching our sub-varsity mean NOTHING but seeing them being coached and having fun.

Now that's the spirit scrub C. That's why we parents and supporters like to hear how the underclassmen ae doing.
It's not an indicator of things to come the next night just props for the kiddo's if they see it on a message board. These kids read this board also.:)

Rookies can be a big deal. Look at the 1978 Super Bowl when the Dallas Cowboys won it with a rookie by the name of Tony Dorsett! Without that running back they probably wouldn't have been to the super bowl much less won it.

It was a great game both teams showed alot of fight. I surprised that no one mentioned the phontom catch on 4th and 12, I think that everyone saw the ball hit the ground except the official who was out of position. STILL it was a fun game to watch.

Trust me, WE knew that it was a bad call, too.

Yes, we all know that was a bad call and was not a catch at all, even the young man who "caught" it. But all was for naught after the penalty called on Wharton soon after. This was probably not the best officiated game I've ever seen.

It was an awesome game and I'm still worked up about it. If Wharton's JV didn't have to play just about everybody they have all of the time, I feel the turnout would have been completely different. Both teams played an awesome game. Wharton was just so tired by midway into the second half, but they kept on playing their hearts out. They could have quit, but they didn't. They were able to score 38 points on a team that hadn't been scored against yet this young season? I call that an outstanding effort.

Good game to both teams!

I'll be there to watch the varsity match-up tonight.

For those of you who saw the freshman game, #79 is coming with me! He played an awesome game for the freshman and was eventually double, and even tripled teamed he said, by the end of the freshman game. He's a kid with heart and a love of the game. Look out over the next several years!
