10-7 TCU with seconds to go before half.

Josh Goolsby was a standout Defensive player and I believe all-state LB in 3A, from Bridgeport, TX. I will have to refresh myself on his HS Career a little.

Go Frogs!!!

Tye Gunn, the QB for TCU, was also a 3A stud from LaGrange, as well as Bo Shoebel from Columbus.

Lonta Hobbs of Clarksville just scored his third TD to make it 31-7, Froggies. I'm not sure Clarksville is 3A anymore, though. I know nearby Hooks isn't. That area is losing population, particularly among the young people.

Believe it or not, Clarksville used to be in what is now 4A. So did Gilmer. They were in District 7-3A with us along with Daingerfield, Mount Pleasant, Sulphur Springs, Liberty-Eylau and a couple of others.

#28 modkins was the QB for Marlin back when Tye Gunn and LaGrange beat Marlin in the state semifinals in 2000.

The Green Wave has pulled to within 10, 31-21.

I hope we don't see a repeat of last year's Labor Day debacle in Cincinnati.

TCU 38 Tulane 35 Tye Gunn looked great on the last TCU TD. Looks like he had a great rehab after his injury last season. Good luck the rest of the way. That kid is a winner.

It was a joy to watch Tye Gunn play after last year's injury. The announcers made a point of saying he hadn't been hit since the '02 season and I held my breath with that first hit. I followed his surgery and rehab closely last spring and it was a tough surgery and rehab. He is a true player in every sense of the word, I am so happy he had such a great recovery.
