Port isabel is one team that can beat Cuero and Hutto can too.
I know this is my opinion but I know the insides and the outs of football so when I express my opinion its more a fact.

The title of this Topic is Why Cuero and Marlin are overated, but you don't give us any reasons why they are. You just say that there are teams that can beat them, duh, any team on any night can get beat...like 34-0.

I dont know why people are giving hutto so much love. They havent proven anything yet. They got a great quarterback and running back. But lets see how the team does against its first real contest agains Liberty Hill. And i think Cuero would kill Hutto, but i could be wrong. Any team is beatable, no team is invisible. Unless, you are the texas longhorns playing the Oklahoma Sonners lol j/p

Marlin proved last year to be a pretender instead of a contender at the state game. Maybe this year they will do better. I will have to wait and see.

dont know about marlin, but Cuero is for real, and from what i hear they are getting it done w/o a major part of their offense due to injury early.

Playing for a state title is not a pretender!

I would say that it proves the there are easy roads to the title game, and there are tough roads to the title game. :D

We will see how good Cuero is tonight. They are ranked pretty high and for good reason after they blew out their first two opponents. Wharton is going to be able to match up to Cuero in size and speed, so it should be a good test for both teams. Wharton played EL Campo to 21-12 in thier first game, and they really missed 2 big opportunities to score touchdowns. I think people are expectin gWharton to be down after last year, but I think they are going to be just as good if not a little better. The defense looked solid against El Campo, and they are dangerous on offense. Cuero is going to have to play an extremely solid game to win tonight. Wharton will have to do the same. Every team in 3A is going to know what kind of teams Wharton and Cuero have after tonight. This is a great early season test.

I'll be there tonight cheering the Tigers on. I just looked at the regional rankings posted on this discussion board. I'm not sure how good West Columbia and Yoakum really are. Time will tell. I think Wharton will make their way into the top 10 by mid-season.:D :D :D
