Ednas coming off a tough, tough, loss to a VERY talented Goliad team. Even after considering that im going to have to take Edna by 6, upsetting the Gobblers for their first loss of the season.

When Edna can beat someone that Wharton can't, is the same day that Hell will freeze over. That is why Edna's coach wouldn't schedule Wharton this year. Rice wouldn't play them either. Those coaches got together and bought the UIL directors a keg for getting them out of Wharton's district. I've seen Edna this year. It doesn't look good.

What class!!!! Maybe that's why no one wanted to continuing playing you.

It's always nice to hear from Cheer Mom, she has such an open mind regarding the Tigers!

Does it hurt to hear the truth Cheer Mom? Do you need me to do the research so that I can show you how often YOU dog the tigers. I have been rooting for you guys this year, because your kids play so incredibly hard. However, arrogant fans like yourself make it difficult to cheer them on. So go on, and keep looking for posts about the Tigers so that you can continue to put your two cents in. FACT- there were two 3A teams in the gulf coast area with week 5 open in March. It was Wharton and Rice, but now we have to go to Austin to play, cuz you guys wouldn't play us. I doubt that decision was based on attitudes.

My comments earlier were way too harsh, and for that I sincerely appologize to Edna. Good luck this weekend vs. Calhoun. Just a tip- if you give Calhoun to one techniques, they cannot pull their guards. Your LBs just need to watch FB and he will take them right to the ball.

Edna's playing Rice on Sept 24...Yeah so far they have gotten off to a rough start, a loss to Van Vleck then Goliad, but its still pre-season, hopefully this week they Will bounce back if they don't beat calhoun...might be a down season hate to say.

this game will probably get ugly the first half and then the starters may never see the field the second half as coach reeve definitely will not be risking injury with playoffs only a week away(from friday)

Cuero 42
Edna 7

Cuero is going to hand Edna their 10th loss of the season. It will be a good game, if your from Cuero. Hate to be one of them cowboys, it will be a long night. Cuero will prove then that they are ready for the Roughnecks.

Cuero 35-7

I'll have to go with Cuero in this one. Cuero is a very good football team. As for FBcoachB40 Rice would have loved to remain in that District. They would have been assured of going to the playoffs. This is not so in the District that they are in with such talented teams as Navasota, Sealy and Bellville.     :hairpunk:

I said that they would not play us, as for getting out of the district aren't they going to be "outright district Champs" for the first time in school history? They didn't do that in our district!

I think that it is a little premature to call Rice the outright district champs. They still have to defeat Bellville.     :hairpunk::flamingma
