I think they should have slipped Jasper an extra point to make it a four way tie for second place. Who in the world gave Manor a first place vote. I think they are good, but not that good yet.

Snyder and Vernon out of Region I get no lovin'.
Big time respect will be needed if the Vernon Lions can post a "W" over Wichita Falls High (4A) this week.
Snyder will also score some points, although I don't think quite as tough a test as WF High, but Lubbock Cooper will be a test for the Tigers.
Abilene Wylie, who I definitely believe is a top ten team, gets 4A Aledo at their place. Now, that will be a game! Aledo lost in the last few minutes of their game last week with 4A Div. I champion North Crowley 21-14. North Crowley moved up to 5A.
Graham faces (4A) North Richland Hills Birdville who DCTF had as their district champ pick.
Some interesting games coming up in Region I.
The biggest might be Gainesville and Decatur over in Wise County.
It's the Eagles air raid vs. the Purvey & Co. show. Give me Decatur in this one... I think Dane (Decatur QB) picks Gainesville's secondary apart.

I don't think Decatur can keep up with Gainesville. Gainesville by 2 touchdowns, atleast.

IMO Barber's Hill should be getting a few points in this poll. I would say if they take care of Dickinson this week you will begin to see them get some votes. I agree with RBarker on another thread when he said they will be near or in the top 10 by the end of the year. If they sweep their first five then they will be 10-0 going into the playoffs. Can't see them losing in district this year.

I agree. If they take care of business this week, they will start getting some recognition. They look to be in midseason form. They will make some noise in Region III.

As always Snyder does not get much respect for beinga contender untill late in the season. If they do keep winning I think people will start jumping on the band wagon.

Ya'll keep quiet. Us over here at the Hill are going to enjoy sneaking up on people this year. The Eagles prefer to be the underdog. SSSHHHHH.

as if BH could sneak up on someone. They were a bit down last year and probably are rightly not in the polls just yet, but as I stated they should turn some heads in the next 3 weeks if they take care of business.

Yeah, maybe so. But it doesn't matter what the polls say - it's about what the boys do on the field. They just need to take care of business Friday night against Hutto. If they play everyone like they did Burnet, they'll be a force to be reckoned with come playoff time.

I'm sorry but Liberty Hill lost to Burnet with burnet having its backup quarterback in. The score could have been alot differnt if burnet was healthier

Thanks for the enlightenment. I was there & am aware they had their backup QB playing. Everyone else on the team appeared to be completely healthy.

I'm also aware that their backup QB is a sophomore - so what? We had 2 sophomores rush well over 1000 yards last year.

The score could've been different if Burnet was healthier? The score was what it was.
