Manor 33, Johnston 6: Curtis Williams completed 17 passes for 262 yards and four touchdowns as Manor (2-0) dominated play all the way in beating Johnston (0-2) at Manor. Anthony Swain caught 6 passes for 87 yards and two scores and Ernest Quander snagged four aerials for 75 yards.
Hutto 34, Travis 18: Hutto (2-0) came out flat in the first half, trailing 12-0 at the half, but trampled the Rebels behind 360 yards rushing at Burger Stadium. Jerrick Gauthier, who had 149 yards and three touchdowns last week, added 200 yards and five more touchdowns for the Hippos, a District 19-3A team. Travis, a District 25-4A team that fell to 1-1, finished with 273 yards passing.
Lexington 45, Smithville 0: Quarterback Jordan Peterson had a hand in nearly all of Lexington's scoring as the Eagles extended visiting Smithville's losing streak.
Peterson ran for a touchdown, passed for two more, kicked a field goal and four extra points and ran in a two-point conversion. He finished with 116 yards rushing and 181 yards passing for Lexington (2-0). Running back Phillip Brown added 137 yards.
Running back Chris Hayward, who had 110 yards rushing last week, had 170 on 38 carries for the Tigers.
Smithville, 0-10 last year, lost 6-0 to Weimar last week.
Yoakum 45, Giddings 20: Yoakum (1-1) gained sweet revenge for last year's 27-7 loss to Giddings (1-1) by shredding the visiting Buffaloes' defense for 28 first-quarter points.
Rockdale 14, Lorena 7: Rockdale (1-0) scored a first-quarter touchdown and employed a short second-quarter run for the clinching score en route to a home win over Lorena (1-1). Emanuel Mack led the Rockdale ground game with 94 yards, Germaine Dawson scored on a 3-yard run and Brandon Cruz recovered a Lorena fumble for the Tigers' other score.
