White Oak has come out of the game well with a bunch of juniors. WO has good chance of being 6-0 going into district with Rains, Van, Bullard and Mineola left on the non district schedule. District 16-3A play will get tougher in a hurry though with Carthage, Longview Spring Hill, Tatum and Center all providing a challenge. Roughnecks could finish alot higher than people might have predicted if they keep getting better each week. Coach Blankenship gets alot from his players especially considering their enrollment in 3A..........and its not like they have ex NFL players like Mike Barber, Byron Hunt, Sam Hunt, and Max McGee roaming the halls....

I KNIDA AGREE WITH THIS, BUT YOU WOULD THINK THAT BARBERS HILL OR LIBERTY HIGH WOULD BE ON THAT LIST. I KNOW THINGS ARE NOT LOOKING TO HOT FOR THOSE PANTHERS THIS YEAR BUT THINGS ARE GOING TO GET BETTER AS WE TRAVEL TO HAMPSHIRE FANNET THIS WEK END. BUT OVERALL I LIKED HOW YOU DID THAT THOSE SRE SO GOOD TEAMS:)

I was just wondering, but isn't this suppossed to be a big year for navasota. They are talked about alot by the brazos valley. I have a feeling they will be a sleep and are a bit underrated.

......I hope that opinion tastes as good to you as it sounds, cause this is only week 2.

IF and I stress if b/c we have 3 very very tough games ahead of us still (our next three games are 4a Dickinson, Diboll, Columbia), but just for kicks, if Barbers Hill were to enter district 5-0 would that put us high up on the regional and maybe even state rankings?

If you beat Diboll, you will go up a notch in MY book.

Like I said all three are really tough games and we will have to play our best to come out with a win, but I was just wondering, and some people around here (homers of course lol) were thinkin we would get more attention for the 38-0 win against Anahuac after they defeated Newton but its fine by me being off the radar

I think Newton is down big time this year. I don't think they are going to make any noise in 2A.

You heard it here first.

If BH goes 5-0 they should be in the top ten in my book. I think BH isn't getting any attention due to their playoff runs or lack of. If BH wants state reconition they will have to get past round #2. Personally (Being a Homer) I think BH should be in the top 25 of the state and top 10 in Region III. When the playoffs start the real rankings will begin.

BH's problem has definitely been the lack of success in the playoffs. I think that's why people are reluctant to rank them very high. Of course they could always prove folks wrong this year...

does a 31-0 victory over 4a Dickinson change any opinions on Barbers Hill or is everyone going to wait until after we play two very tough teams in Diboll and West Columbia to form opinions
