Here are the week 2 games for the Golden Triangle area 3A teams.

WO-S vs Bay City(at Pearland ISD)
Silsbee @ Hardin-Jefferson
Jasper vs Beaumont Central
Kirbyville @ Bridge City
Buna vs West Hardin
Hamshire-Fannett vs Liberty
Orangefield @ LC-M

Any Predictions?

I think the GT game of the week will be the dismantling of BC and the hands of Kirbyville.

WO-S over Bay City
Silsbee over Hardin-Jefferson(Silsbee will start 3-0)
Jasper over Central
Bridge City over Kirbyville(close one though)
West Hardin over Buna
Hamshire-Fannett over Liberty
Orangefield over LC-M(sorry, had to)

Bay City over WOS (defensive battle)
Kirbyville over Bridge City (very tight game)
West Hardin over Buna (who cares)
Liberty over Hamshire Fanett
LCM over Orangefield (this is a toss up)

Kirbyville should be a solid favorite over BC at this point in the year. The host of Juniors and 7 Seniors at BC are maybe not as seasoned as the Senior laden Wildcats. BC is a fiesty bunch and can pull a big upset, if Kirbyville comes in too cocky.
I think it will be a good learning experience for both of them. In BCs case, thus begins a very tough preseason with a ranked Kirbyville, a giant enrollment 4A LC-M, a #2 ranked Jasper and an upstart 4A dropdown Silsbee.
If BC can get these Juniors some quality playing seasoning in against these very worthy opponents without getting too many hurt, they will be better prepared for distirct play.
With no Senior depth as a problem, good fortune on the lack of injuries status will greatly enhance their district chances.

Central may have lost 45-0 but it was to a 5A school. When you play both ways, that kinda evens things up a bit. Ask PNG about that one.

I still see Jasper beating Central next week. Even after the PNG game. I saw highlights of the West Brook Central game. it looks like Central doesnt know how to wrap up and tackle. I saw guys flying all over the field.

I can promise you one thing the Wildcats will not be cocky considering how CC opened there eyes and humbled them in the first half of their game Friday as CC scored off 4 wildcat turnovers and the Cats didnt answer back until midway threw the 3rd quarter but trust me after that Kirbyvile will be anything but cocky.

I didn't have a Barbers Hill schedule at the time I made this thread. I don't know anything about Dickinson, but I know Barbers Hill has looked real good so I'll take BH.

As much as I would love to pick Bridge City (because I live there now), I dont think they will beat K'Ville. I hope they will, but just dont think so. As for my Mustangs ?????????????????? Man I hope. I just dont think they are a 100% yet. I also think it will take that much to beat Bay City. I will be at the game cheering win or loss though!!!!!!
