Good job, Perryton. I'm familiar with both somewhat - I lived in Canadian when I was a kid...among other places.

I think that pampa will have bee then only team to challenge the Rangers until the playoffs. That may hurt when they have to play teams like Sweetwater, Vernon, Decatur, etc. Meaning that they will not have seen as talented teams save the first week.


I would love to see a Vernon Perryton matchup. Vernon lost the last one three years ago in Amarillo.

I think the Rangers will have their work cut out for them this week when they travel to Canadian, which is already a top ten rated 2A team.
They have a running back who has already committed to OU that is tearing people up. Last night he had 243 yards on just 17 carries. He is a man amoungst boys.
This game is always on Canadian's list of teams they love to beat. Perryton is a little banged up right now too. They lost a starting running back last night in the 1st quarter against Guymon, but I am unsure how bad the injury (knee) is. The Perryton quarterback has also been nursing a sore shoulder, which he aggravated last night and was only able to play about about 60% of the game last night. It could be a really tough time for the Rangers next Friday in Canadian.

I just saw where Canyon had two impressive wins. That game may be the matchup to watch.
