Bandera vs. Bellville

This should be a really good game. Even though QB Brett Hicks is out he has a good backup from the JV squad in sophomore Ryan Tierney. The offense will look a little different this week but should do just fine. Bandera's defense has been spectacular putting up goose eggs almost every week. What is everybody's take on this game? I can't wait till Saturday! See you in Round Rock.

I agree that Bandera's defense is something. I don't know if Bellville has seen anything like it this year. Do yall still have Stevens or Mazurak(sorry about the spelling, it been a year since I've seen yall). This is gonna be a great game with Bellville much better than last year. I'll give my prediction later in the week. How's the QB for Bandera doing? Can he play this week or later?

We do still have Stevens and Mazurek is at the Air Force Academy playing ball up there. Harris is the other LB and he is doing awesome also. Stevens has about 120 tackles this year so far and will continue to add to them. The credit though goes to the defensive line who all three get double teamed most of the time. Not one center has been able to block Taulbert the NG all year. Lytle moved there best tackle to center for that game and had the most success against Taulbert which still wasn't much. From what I heard Hicks tore his MCL and is out the rest of football and all of basketball. That stinks because he is a darn good athlete in both sports. Tierney will be getting the start this week. He is a very good but small QB. I can't wait to take on Bellville.

It should be a great defensive game...I'm not sure Bandera has seen a defense like the one Bellville has....Burnet got about half of their offense on trick plays because they couldn't move the ball....Burnets QB was 8 of 23 for 81 yards and sacked 5 times hurried many times. It will be a great battle starting at 2:00 Sat. in Round Rock

These cornfed hillbillies beat the crap out of your wannabe bulldogs. As for Bellville it will be a real good game. I know Bellville has to be real good to be 11-0 but from what I have seen they don't look real physical. This might become a factor late in the game. It was for La Vernia.

Dont disregard John Syptak #55. He played an outstanding game. I must say, I was a little disappointed in the performance of Bellville's quarterback, #20. Bandera's fullback was impressive.

I have no ties to either school, i wont cry over the game. I just like highschool football, and i think these are the two teams with the best chance for state out there.

gdornon11, i know you #11 and #55 are two of the linebackers. At the burnett game i saw the other linebacker was getting subbed for alot. What was the deal with that? Do you think sinton would try to attack the weak side a little more, since grebe and #30 seem to be very dominant? that is assuming they play on the same side.

sinton, i havnt gotten the chance to watch them. I am like nearly everyone else who reads about the teams and makes my own prediction. My predictions aren't edged in stone. but i think sinton has the edge.
