Team A vs Team B.

Team A has a 21-3 record for the past two seasons, and have gone two deep in the playoffs. They have a pretty good little streak at home. They have not lost a game at home to ANY team in over 6 years. They usually have huge home crowds, and they even have a few State Champioships to their name. 7 of them to be exact.

Team B is 6-14 for the past two seasons. They return a bunch of starters from a team ranked 134th out of 207 teams in the league last year. They will be playing Team A on the road. They have not been a dominate football team since 1958.

I am going out on a limb and picking team A in this one. Anybody wanna tell me why I shouldn't?

looks like the obvious choice..BUT
in a situation like this, the underdog has absolutely nothing to lose and often will play above their capabilities to beat a team they have no chance of beating...and conversely, a team that is way better will sometimes go into a game too relaxed and get a rude awakening by such a team like you've mentioned...but i guess that's not a reason to pick b over a, but that's all i've got...
good luck to both teams, whoever they are...

A good argument CTS, but if I told you that Team A has won 69 of their last 72 would you still argue that they are a team that might get caught "offguard"?:D

BTW. your new sig pic is cool.

like i said, that still wouldn't be reason to pick the underdog...
and no, sounds like team a comes to play, especially at home...
just the only way i could see b overcoming all that is against them...sounds like b is in for a long night...

I'm thinking team A would win by at least 3 touchdowns.

Actually the game has already been played. And team A managed to get lucky and pull of the win, but thanks for the help.

yes, Celina will and actually DID win.

As for their 10-2 record last year....

They played only 4 teams that had winning records:

Gainesville (and we know what they did)
Gilmer
Pilot Point
and some other...I can't remember

Celina is a good football team...and outstanding one at that. However, I will never know how they stack up against some of the best teams in the state in 3A.

As for the RC/Celina game. Give me 18 starters returning vs. any 2A team, I'll pick the 3A team ALMOST every time. In this case, RC got it handed to them. I would've chosen poorly!

Them UTES????

Geez - don't you think we Texans seen enough of them UTES last night? For crying out loud, they were in the end zone enough....

Looks like another bad year for (as they put it on the old coach)

As for Royse City's 5-5 record last year. They played 5 teams with winning records.

Crandall 6-5
Nev Community 6-4
Quinlan Ford 9-2
Paris North Lamar 6-5
Commerce 7-4

One of their five wins did manage to come from one of those teams.

They beat the 6-4 Nevada Community team.

RC played 5? WOW...I wouldn't have guessed that.

And how many of the 5 with winning records were in their district?

Never mind....4 outta the 5 were in their district.
