Intresting that they have Cuero #21 in the state wide rankings, but not in the top 15 of their region.

Cuero should be above Sinton in any poll!

That must of been a mistake...where they're placed on the state poll they should be in 4th behind Liberty Hill.

I would think that Perryton being ranked #39 is a "gross miss" in the state rankings. I would rank Kirbyville and Perryton in the top 10. I kind of laughed when I read that they had Rice Consolidated ranked above WO-S in the Region III poll. I would guess WO-S could easily beat them 40-0 in a ballgame.

I would imagine there is a mathematical method to Chris's madness, and it will get more accurate as the season progresses. Losing games certainly cannot help you in a mathematical poll, no matter how good your team is. I am sure in his eyes, W-OS has yet to win a game in 3A, and until they do they will drop a notch or two each week. Look for them to come back up if they start winning ball games.

Hey OC, what about him having Orangefield ranked 14th in Region III. Although they look better than I thought they would this early in the season, I don't think they are there yet. They are young, so when they get some more games under their belt I think we'll be able to tell. Hopefully by the time district rolls around the Bobcats will be in the hunt for a playoff spot. Hopefully we can have an Orange County sweep of district 24.

They have Gainesville's record as 1-0 in the Regional Rankings but 0-0 in the State Rankings. :D

Question: How can Barbers Hill win their first game and go down 10 spots in the rankings?

My guess is nine teams ranked below them won tougher games?

To CAT 22: I certainly believe that Orangefield deserves their #14 Regional ranking. They stayed the distance with a 4A team(Lumberton) that is use to playing good 4A teams...I think that a WO-S, Orangefield and Bridge City sweep of the District is quite possible. Orange County always supports one another in the playoffs. I really enjoyed the LaGrange/OF game last year. I am pulling for Vidor, LMC and Deweyville to have a good representation for Orange County also this season.
