WO-S coming off tuff lost to Jasper. Stangs are very hungry as they have missed playoffs last 3 yrs and have started 0-1.

Nederland could be fielding their best team in years but allways have trouble with WO-S, loosing to them more than winning over the years except the last 3 as the Dogs have taken those.

Nederland 21
WO-S 7

I'll take Nederland in this one also. WOS has a tough road ahead of them, But they will be better prepared come playoff time than most teams. my prediction is

Nederland 35
WOS 21

Just think of the bright side Bay City is next :D

If we can keep it close wo-s has a chance, but if Ned scores 4 or 5 Td's I dought we could win.

I haven't seen Nederland but I have seen WOS and Jasper and I saw what Nederland did to Jasper and I saw what Jasper did to WOS sooo
Nederland 35

I don't look for this one to be a high scoring game. WOS took advantage of Jasper's turnovers and vice versa, but WOS couldn't move the ball consistantly. Nederland is big. I'm gonna have to say:

Nederland 24
WOS 10

Sorry to throw a little cold water on some of you, but I think WOS will win in a close one...
WOS - 14
Nederland - 10
Just wondering ...where will the game be played?..

I don't know anything about either of these teams so I feel especially qualified to respond to this thread. jk :D

WOS will suck it up and pull off an upset. They are a class act and have one of the best coaches in Texas. JMHO.:D

I always pull for the 3A team

WO-S 13
Ned 10

I don't think you can compare how NED did against Jasper in a scrimmage and how Jasper did against WOS in a game to predict the outcome of a NED-WOS matchup.

The game will be held at Mustang Stadium, but the location doesn't really matter. NED has beaten us at home before, and we've beaten NED at their home stadium. It's going to be two good teams going at it for 48 minutes just like always. NED has a much better team at this point than they've had in a while and they're playing with much confidence; WOS is looking to rebound from last week.

Like last week, I'm only going to predict it will be a good game. :)

Like almost every WO-S-Ned game it will be up in the air. As usual a game not to miss. I like it when we play a school that has a big following of fans. What do you think guys, 9-10 thousand total?

I'll say Ned puts 40 on WO-S and the mustangs won't score in the first half. Nothing against WO-S, but Nederland is off to a great start. If I'm wrong I'll admit it Sat. morning. WO-S can't make up an off season in 3 or 4 weeks, but they will be ready by playoff time.

You sure do have a lot of insight there Stan, who are you really???? You ARE on to something there. IMHO, our off season (or lack there of) is what is killing us right now.

As for predictions, I don't have one. I know our coaches and players will go out and give it 100% like they did last week. All we can do is hope things will come together in time, if not, it's "Katy bar the door".

I really agree with you GS on your first paragraph. Scrimmages are there to work out the kinks and improve. The season is here! The first part, at least.;)
.
You guys are part of 3A and lost to arguably the best in our class. I think that second half surge from last week will carry over to this week. Especially now that your team becomes more comfortable with that new system. GO STANGS! Beat those 4A freaks! :)
.
I'll say WO-S by 6 in a close game. No team scores more than 35.

I think this game has usually been one-sided in the past for the most part with one team beating the other one down pretty good. Sometimes its WOS taking a good whooping and sometimes it is Nederland...so if you go by what we have seen so far it would seem WOS may be in for a long night friday, but I don't see WOS losing 2 in a row without giving it a good fight.

The fight will definitely be there. They may be outscored, but they won't be out-hustled. If nothing else, I can count on this team playing with much heart for a full four quarters.
