If you live out of town/state, I believe I have found a link where we can listen to a webcast of the PNG game.

Go here (http://pngindians.com/radio.html) :nerd:

Barring injury, it's always better to play tougher opponents.

That has been the case for over 20 years. In 4a they scheduled predominantly 5a teams, (and 4a powers like WOS). Now, in 3a, they are scheduling 4a teams where possible. They probably would still play 5a teams, but how many 5a teams want to play a 3a team?

Not very many and there are alot of4a teams that want play them either.

A friend of mine is a coach and he told me that when the realignment comes up every 2 years they send coaches to 3 different parts of the state to try and find people to play.

Well, the home-and-home with Dalhart probably won't happen. :D

http://www.flickingerweather.com/wos.JPG Or anybody in El Paso for that matter. That would wipe out the whole athletic department budget and the band would have to sell its instruments and be forced play with plastic kazoos and moonshine bottles....:D

WHAT??? (http://www.texasfootballratings.com/20044AWeeklyPicks.html)

Holy Cow!!! They've picked Jasper by 17 over PNG. Now I'm a huge Jasper fan, but I don't think they'll win by 17. Of course I'd love to see them prove me wrong.:D

I predict a 21 or more point victory by the DOGS. Just because I have the confidence in them and it will give people to get on to me about. But just remember if I am right I want to hear about that too!!:D

What's strange is Little Cypress is the only team in the whole District (20-4A) he has picked to win.

Of what I saw last Friday, Jasper will make minced meat out of PN-G. Yeah we(WOS) played horrible, but Jasper is powerful. Thats all I have to say.

We'll just have to see how it all plays out. PNG may be down this year, but they've still got some great athletes. That said, Jasper's speed may be too much for them this year.

Assuming that Jasper will score a few touchdowns, I sure hope they practiced some extra points!!!...and also, maybe put some type of 'glue' on the football...sure need to cut down on fumbles...WAY DOWN!!!

I'm not trying to get ahead of myself here, but it would be almost impossible to not cut down on the number of fumbles...almost.

Let me preface this statement by saying that I am in no way being negative...I think the game will be MUCH closer than that, regardless of who wins. Keep in mind that PN-G barely lost to a 5A team. I don't know a whole lot about Cy Creek (or whoever it was they played last week), but I don't think Cy Creek was a pushover. Also, because of PN-G's defense, I think the game will be low scoring with no team scoring more than 20 points.

Boy was half the state wrong in picking this one or what? Jasper and WO-S will still be in the running for State CHamps when it is all said and done.

Yeah i agree with that but i think that Jasper and WOS could both win state especially considering if Japser goes small school which probally will happen b/c if silsbee makes the playoffs in district 22 that will send Jasper to small school and i believe it will happen b/c i dont see Coldsprings Shepheard or Buna beating Silsbee i think kirbyville has a chance but if Sislbee beats those three it will send Jasper small school.

I think that would be a very awesome thing if both made it and then one. I thik Jasper deserves to win considering they have come very close the last three years. I would like for them to take that final step.

PN-G players were telling Jasper players on the field afterwards good luck in State and You guys are going to State.....total class from PN-G. That game has always been a great friendly rivalry. Jasper, WO-S, PN-G(4a) Good luck to all. I will predict the State Champ will be one of the 2 in 3A. Jasper or WO-S. toss up. all others try to keep up.

Good call on that FootballFan. Even last year when they smoked the dogs they acted with class and told the team good luck down the road. Im with him, Best of luck to everyone.
