View Full Version : Texans did Well at Olympics!

Or at least some of them who went to Texas colleges and schools. I know UT students (probably mostly former) did well especially some of the swimmers. Of course the CAT on the softball team did well. Also Mr. Wariner (spelling) did well in the 440 m and relays and one of his Baylor teammates was on the relay team and did well indeed. Also there was a Texas Tech track man that did well but I can't recall his name right now. Paul Foerster who won the gold in sailing is a graduate of Corpus Christi Incarnate Word Acadamay (1982). Please help me out if you know of more. Great job Texans (whether native or adopted)!!

That little female gold medal olympic gymnast was from Texas I think.

lol! Caught me there Just! It is 400 now. When I ran track I was an 880 runner but of course now it is the 800 m race!

there was a runner from tech. johnny johnson. he played abll at abiliene high. he did not make it to the finals though. he got into a pack and didnt fare well in the semis. although, it is great just to have a chance to compete at theat level.

the baylor boys both grew up in texas too....just to let ya know so not only do they go to texas college but they r raised texans....wariner and williamson! Sic'em!
