7-3A Week 0

I didn't see a thread for our district unless I just missed it. Week 0 was definitely bitter-sweet for 7-3A as three teams won and three lost. LW had a good game, 35-0 over FW Poly thanx to 400+ yards rushing. Defense had a bend but don't break mentality at times but really tightened up in the second half. A side note on this game: FW Poly is a 4A school and does NOT have a BAND! Let me say that the posters who don't appreciate the Band and halftime show might think differently after watching this game with its' fifteen minutes of silence and empty field that made the end of the first half to the start of the second seem like forever. All in all it was a good night for the 'Frogs.

Uggg. Bridgeport had a pretty rough outing against Breckenridge... Towards the end of the game they startedputting a little stuff together. I am glad that the District play doesn't start for a while....

On the offense side of the ball we did pretty good and managed to have 350+ offensive yards. Our RB had more than 100 yards rushing and recieving. We had a touchdown called back that would have boosted his stats. Defense and Special Teams played terrible. After a few personnal changes we hope a repeat of last week never happens.

I think Bridgeport should match up pretty well this week against Mineral Wells. At this point I say it is a tossup.

I dont know too much about Lake Dallas....I guess Ill just have to wait til friday night.

Aren't you guys running the spread this year? Heck, when you run that anything can happen!

our Jv tied with lake dallas 14-14. we could have won but our punt returner bobbled the ball and lake dallas recovered and tied up the game.
