He wrote a good article about the USA olympic men's basketball dream team and points out that in USA that NBA is the thing rather than Olympics which is probably true. Plus we weren't able to send all of our best for one reason or another one of which is the honor of representing your country which in some cases takes a back seat to big money. Unlike Ginolbi {who plays for the Spurs :) } who went to Argentina and practiced right away after the playoffs and led his country to victory over USA and Italy for their gold medal. But one thing I disagree with Mr. Kerr about is that it can't happen again. It can if the NBA player want it. Argentina played as a team and Ginolbi led them so there is time to get ready after the playoffs because he wasn't with them till after the playoffs. Shaq chose to stay at his new two million dollar home and even though he may be found innocent Bryant could have played had he not got in trouble cheating on his wife which he has admitted. Can you imagine if we had had Shaq with Duncan in the middle along with Kobe Bryant playing and maybe one good three point shooter such as Horry (spelling?) especially if we played together as a team. Twin towers anyone? We would have been devastating like the 92 team. It will depend on how bad the NBA players want it in 2008 if we ever have a new dream team.
