Any of you think Longview Spring Hill will break the top ten this week?

I'm thinking they get some votes at the least...

I still have yet to figure out what makes Perryton the #3 team in the State...

Well, you do not need to worry about it anymore... Now you must start thinking 'why are they the number two team in the state'...

It is my belief that the associated press will feel that they beat a good 4A team, and will make their top three as follows...

1. Jasper
2. Perryton
3. WOS

WOS will fall to at least 6th.. thats how polls work, you lose a game, you lose a minimum 5 spots

why is it so hard to believe because they are not from down south our is it something else. The panhandle is getting a litte spot light and people can not stand it. Maybe they better than people think. Matthew 328 picked the to lose by 14 and the really won by 16 it would of been 23 but they put their backups in.

Nobody I know could figure out why Lindale was ranked No. 4 to begin with. Gilmer beat them, 45-0, in Lindale late last season.

Go ahead and move Spring Hill into the Top Ten. Pay no attention to the scrimmage between Spring Hill and Gilmer on Aug. 20 at which Gilmer cleaned the Panthers' clocks.

After all, Gilmer could only hang 48 points on Pine Tree in our opening game. This time last year, we scored 59 against Gladewater. Yeah, Gilmer is down this year. It's sad to see.

Look for Graham to break the top 10.

I love the AP. Longview Spring Hill beat Lindale by 30 PTS but still received lest votes than them. You got to love polls:D

If your logic were correct then Decatur should be in the top 10 after beating Kennedale 26-7 in a scrimmage. Instead Kennedale being idle goes UP in the poll.

Kennedale gives us a new phrase this week.

It is now possible to "fall up". :D

Cheif My LOGIC has nothing to do with your example. I am talking about a regular season game here. You can't count on a scrimmage, they are shifting people in an out trying to decide who the starters will be. All that I'm stating is how can you beat a team in the regular season by 30 pts and still be ranked behind them? I know its just a poll and this one prioves in this instance that they are just here say.

I for one would like to just have Kennedale's name removed from the polls.

Kennedale should stay in the poll till beaten. They have a quality program and do well.

"Removed from the polls" and drop in the polls are not the same thing.

Thank goodness we have a playoff system and the polls are just conversation topics instead of the determination factor.

Phil C, I think you see my point. Being in the AP poll just puts a big x on any team's jersey. It doen't mean anything.
