Who's going? What are ya'lls predictions? I don't know anything about Vidor, so I can't say...

Vidor is 4A, correct?

I'll go with BH, they did a good job this week and maybe they'll begin to get on a roll...

Yes, they're 4A...

Vidor is a member of district 20-4A. They have struggled the last few years, 2-8 last year, but they always play hard and can't be overlooked. I'll take Barbers Hill 21-10.

I'm going with BH on this one.

This game bothers me more than any other game on bh's schedule..........I think Vidor is going to be very tough to beat at their place...........saying that though bh impressed me so much if they play the same game they should win 24-7

Well not so sure what matthews has up his sleeve this year. The pirates will be tough to beat at their place.

The Hill's 38-0 pasting of Anahuac was impressive.

Honestly, is BH that improved from last year, or is The 'Huac down this year, or was it "just one of those nights"?

BH suddenly looks like the frontrunner in 23-3A again, what with Liberty going down to Silsbee, Huffman getting beaten by Santa Fe, Splendora falling to H-J, Cleveland just getting the dogmess beat outta them by Kirbyville, and Tarkington....well, they're still Tarkington, evidently.

I look for BH to continue to improve by beating Vidor this week. Eagles, 27-12.

I think we'll beat Vidor, but many people are not sure of us beating Diboll at Homecoming. I've never seen Diboll play or Vidor for that matter, but I believe we're a stronger team then last year.

This should be a good game. Vidor may have had a 2-8 record last year, but they played some good games. Vidor lost to WOS 21-17 last year And 5A Drop down Beaumont Central 16-14. This is the first meeting between these two teams so It hard to make a prediction. The Pirates are at home and don't want to ger beat by a 3A team. This game may show us if the Eagles are the real deal this year. The Game Against Anahuac was terrific. but I don't know if Anahuac is that bad or if the Eagles were that good. Got to go with my Eagles on this one. BH 28 Vidor 14.

I'll have to go with the home team in this one. However, if memory serves me correct, Vidor was way more physical than the Eagles several years ago in a scrimmage. I keep thinking about that and it has got me worried. I, like everyone else, don't know if the BH group is really that good this year or if Anahuac is just that bad. Oh well, looking forward to friday.

The last vidor game I watched was against Nerdeland 2yrs ago. Vidor won. Vidor will be tough at home. So,

Vidor 21
BH 14

Be careful, vidor is the Headquarters for the texas branch of the KKK, seriously.

Vidor always plays good at home and they will be chomping at the bits to play. They had a game scheduled in week 0 with Gulf Shores out of Houston, but GS had double booked week 0 and rescheduled their game with Vidor, so this will be Vidor's first game, but with that said I think BH will pull out a close victory.

And by the way BH, thanks for shutting up those trash talkers from Anasmack (as Bobkat calls them). Good luck to you guys this year.

I say that meaning that if they play like thay did last week...........I am worried about this game though cause Vidor has a tendency to play good against good teams.................The chances of BH playing like they did against Anahuac is pretty slim

I THINK BARBERS HILL WILL DO WELL. BECAUSE THE ANAHUAC GAME WAS NO JOKE. WE HAVE VERY GOOD AND STRONG OFFENSIVE LINE. I HAVE VEDIO OF THE VIDOR SCRIMMAGE A FEW YEARS BACK. AND WE DID WELL .SO DOINT COUNT EAGLES OUT. AND PLAYING 4A SCHOOLS IS NOTHING NEW TO BARBERS HILL. AND DOINT LOOK PAST THAT BIG BLUE DEFENSE. THEY HAVE TWO GOOD LINEBACKERS AND VERY QUICK NOSE TACKLE. BEEN A PROUD EAGLE SINCE 1974 GO BIG BLUE GOOD LUCK TO ALL 23 3A TEAMS

BH does have a good team this year but anahuac did not impress me in the least, their team had a big fall from last years team and had a lot of problems. Not putting the eagles down they are gonna be big contenders and have a lot of talent this year.

I think both of these teams are quality folks. Expect a great game characterized by outstanding sportsmanship. I give the nod slightly to Vidor in that they always play a tough tough schedule. A 2-8 record scan must be tempered with the facts that they play Ozen, PNG, WO-S, Central, Nederland etc:
Jeff Mathews is one of the most respected younger Coaches in Texas and has a hard hitting team regardless of the talent level each year. It was wise of BH to schedule them this preseason, they will learn a lot by playing Vidor that will help the sharpen their skills for the playoffs later.

I have been watching the vidor team for the last few years and Matthews definitely has them well prepared year in and year out. They are in a brutal district and generally do more than hold their own. Personally, I BH doing much better than what Vidor has been doing if they were the ones in that district. I could be wrong, but I think these two teams will be pretty evenly matched.
I still give the BH the nod in this one because I believe they are the better team and will rebound from a subpar year (for them).

Size and speed wise these teams are going to be close. I think the discipline of both teams will be close, but the winning history and pride of the Eagles will make the difference.

Here is a link to map quest.
Take the Vidor exit off I-10. You will come to FM 105 (Main St.) Turn right, go over the railroad tracks, turn left at the second red light after the tracks (Orange St.) Stadium sits off of Orange St. on your right.

I pick Vidor 28
BH 7

Just to annoy BHkrystal:devil:

On a real note, I would have to wait on this one. Vidor has a tendency to pull shanagans off. While BH lokks pretty good. Final verdict..................TOSS-UP

Thanks RBarker, appreciate it!!!

Prediction: game is close, Vidor has good athletes, good coaching, and the game is in Vidor. BH has good athletes, good coaching, and generally hangs with 4A teams when they play them. Final Score - BH 13 - Vidor 8

final score BH wins 35-19. Vidor is going to surprise some teams with a strong offense, much stronger than I anticipated. Also all teams playing Vidor watch out they enjoy cheap shots and I dont mean this as trash talk or bashing its simply the truth and I dont want anyone to get hurt b/c of actions like that.
