WHOA, was reading this one in the paper today and was SHOCKED... Not shocked that Wharton won, but shocked that Sweeny lost...
Look at these here stats:
First downs: Sweeny 27, Wharton 15
Rushing yards: Sweeny 50 for 238, Wharton 33 for 181
Passing yards: Sweeny 207, Wharton 197
Turnovers(where the story finally unfolds): Sweeny 3-3, Wharton 0-0
What a difference holding onto the ball would have made for Sweeny in this game... It also looks like they had the ball a long time, maybe dominating the time of posession area (couldn't find that stat), but I gues TOP doesn't matter when you drop the ball...
