I counted only 2 first downs for Taft. Nice warm-up game to start the season.

Over all they looked pretty good. Still making them little mistakes, which could hurt them in playoff games. Need to hold on to that ball. The G-P game next week is going to be a good one.

Several dropped passes that were thrown perfect. If that phase of the game woulda been workin the score would be worse. Next week will be a better gauge of how good this team is imo. Congrats to Jasper and Cuero by the way.

Taft vs Sinton is a huge rivalry that goes back over 50+(that's a low guess) games. Typically, each team brings their "A" game. Sometimes there are blowouts, but not very often in this storied, yearly grudge-match.

Sinton Fan is right. Friday night's game was a rare exception. This game is usually a well fought close game.
