WOS fans, anyone know what happened to Alan Ladd? He was an excellent pitcher for Orange Stark back in 1963 and 64. I met him in college and he was one of the nicest guys you would ever want to meet. I was just wondering if he might still be in the Orange area. If you know anything of his whereabouts, please send me a PM. Thanks.

I've never heard of him, but I will check around to see if anyone knows anything about him.

He was around at the same time as David Foster (the all-state QB and pitcher) and a Burdine I think it was, also a pitcher. Stark was loaded with pitching then.

j-dog, I do know Allan Ladd very well. He lives in West Orange and works for Bayer. Hits a golf ball a million miles and he is as good as gold. Great guy. He pitched back to back no hitters in a double header for Stark in the 60s

Yeah, that's him! I figured he probably might still be in the area.

Do you ever talk to him? If he is at the game, I would certainly like to see him again if he could come down to the meet and greet under the scoreboard after the game. Or, maybe you could PM me a message how to reach him. Thanks.

My father-in-law just retired from Bayer. I'll bet he knows him too. He worked out there a LONG time.
