LUBBOCK, Texas A Levelland high school football player is hospitalized today in Lubbock after being paralyzed from the neck down.
Officials say senior cornerback Jeremy Green suffered a neck injury in a scrimmage on Friday while making a tackle.
Levelland coach Brad Thiessen told the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal that it's hard to tell how Green got hurt during the scrimmage in Hobbs, New Mexico.
He remains hospitalized in critical condition at Covenant Medical Center and is on a respirator.
His coach says Green has been awake and alert since he was hurt.
Didn't they move down to 3-A this year??
