Purvey nominated for Army All-Star Game
Gainesville High School senior running back Terrius Purvey has been
nominated to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl in San Antonio.
Purvey, who rushed for nearly 2,000 yards as a junior last season, is
one of only 400 high school football players in the nation who have been
nominated. He received the news Friday at practice from a member of the
U.S. Army.
Out of the 400 players nominated, 78 will be selected to play in the
All-American Bowl, which will be played at the Alamodome on Jan. 15 and
will be televised by NBC.
