Beaumont Blast 14U red will have try outs in Beaumont at the College street fields on Sunday August 22nd 2:00 - 5:00.
This team is made of girls from Bridge City, Nederland, Port Neches, Silsbee, Newton,
Hampshire Fannett, Groves, Sour Lake and Vidor. All girls that will be 14 or under as of Dec. 31, 2004 are welcome to come try out.
We have had the same "core" group (about 4-5 players) for about 4 years now, however,
all our players know they have to try out every year, there are no positions held for anyone.
We will carry 11 players so we can keep playing time at a maximum. We did lose 2 players to age this year. So as far as how many we'll pick up it can be anywhere from 2-9 depending on talent that shows up.
We will play a lot of 16 and 18 tourneys but will qualify and hopefully win Nationals at 14 U age group.
We tied for 5th at Nationals in Mississippi this past summer and we had ten 13 year olds and two 14 year olds in the 14 yr old division so we do plan on winning next year. We also finished 1st, 2nd or 3rd in every tournament we played with the exception of one (off weekend, lol)
Anyway, the girls we have and will carry are a great bunch of girls and they have fun, play hard and like to win. We don't put up with attitudes so we don't carry any. We are very competitive but it has to be fun too and beleive me ... winning is fun !
Anyone is welcome to come to try outs, when the team is picked it will be emailed out so there are no hard feelings or embarrassed girls, you have nothing to lose.
If you have any money or other questions call - you'll be suprised how inexpensive our team runs compared to others, we have some "big" sponsers.
