I had to show off the footballs I painted for the kick-off supper auction. The two I painted last year brought in $850 I believe.

I did 3 this year, for Freshman, JV and Varisty. Last year we just had 2 for varsity. Hopefully this will get more of the parents involved.

I think they turned out pretty darn good for an amateur. I still have some touchup and outlining to do, but am gonna let them dry a little more.

The freshman is solid blue, the JV is half blue-half white (you can't see the white in the pic) and the varsity is alternating blue and white.

Why do the freshmen get the plain blue and white ball? Are those the only colors they wear?

Actually, I had already painted it solid blue before I decided I was gonna change it up this year.

Someone warned me that the freshman parents might get mad because their ball is plainer than the other ones.

My answer to that is....I volunteered (actually I was volunteered)my time and talent (I use that word loosely) and if they don't like it then they can do the next ones themselves. I didn't see anyone else jumping up and volunteering to do it!!

I am pretty dang proud of them, I out did myself this year!!

It's almost a shame that they have to be written on with the boys signatures and numbers!!:D
