If Caldwell plays whistle to horn and wins the title it will be the sixth year that the 3A crown went to the Lady Hornets (1999 and 2001) or defending champion Wimberley (2000, 2002 and 2003). Mount Belvieu Barber's Hill is loaded and Monahans should make a return trip. Wimberley has graduated two-time player of the year, Jesi Grisham and all state standouts Caitlin Rainbird and Courtney McCrocklin but don't bet against Coach Lee Grisham. Denver City and Bonham are both strong. Hallettsville returns six starters from a 26-10 team including monster outside hitter megan Klimitchek.
