Qualify to Letter???

I noticed on a thread that Gobbla asked how much playing time is required to letter at Gainesville. To me that's an interesting subject! Gobbla mentioned that being on the sideline at three district games was required to letter at Cuero (once upon a time). In the stone age at Burnet, coach required 16 quarters of play to letter.

What constitutes qualification to letter for your favorite team or is that even done everywhere now days?

at forney, you have to play in x amount of games...i know in basketball you had to play in a certain amount of regular season games and a certain amount of district games...

It seems to me that it is 10 quarters in Rockdale, but I'm not sure.
