Here's what the Bay Area Sports Magazine had to say about
30-3A

Two new coaches should make this an interesting race for second and third place. How will Goliad respond to being back with their old district foes? How will Mathis fare with a new coach? Will the kids in Aransas Pass and Ingleside stay out of trouble? Will any Sinton starter actually play the fourth quarter of any district game this year? So many interesting questions in what is sure to be a wild ride in District 30-3A

1. Sinton- Without West Oso around to match their athleticism, be shocked if anyone can stay close for even three quarters. This will be the most lopsided district champion in South Texas
2. Aransas Pass- The Panthers took their lumps last year as a brood of baby faced kids were thrown into the fire, but they are all grown up now. In a weak district the Panthers could claw their way to second.
3. Mathis- The Pirates are under new management, but they lost
almost everyone to graduation. They might make the playoffs, but they'll have to arrive with more determination than they did last season.
4. Ingleside- The school has always had enough talent roaming the hallways, but actually getting them to attend practice, not talk back , and work hard is the trick. Are the boys of Ingleside ready for discipline? If they are, then the playoffs are not such a pipe dream.
5. Goliad- Not a bad team by any stretch, but they lack the size, numbers, and athleticism to be a playoff contender. The Tiger kids have always been tough and ornery and that might be enough to win a district game or two
