These numbers reflect last seasons results. Anyone with knowledge of these teams, please give me your thoughts on these numbers... I'm researching a system of rankings.

Initial: W/Opp: Final W/Pl-off
Everman: 17.203 18.484 24.484

Wil.-Hutchins: 9.629 10.241 13.241

Dal. Pinkston: -(1.15) 8.385 10.385

FW Castleberry:-(5.959) -(7.445) -(7.445)

FW Dmd H-J: -(7.495) -(10.548) -(10.548)

FW Carter-Riv.:-(17.18) -(14.088) -(14.088)

Any response is welcome. Some interesting things came up with a little research. It seemed that Dallas Pinkston had possibly the hardest regular season as they played THREE state title teams. Two from 3-A (Everman and Commerce) and one from 2-A (Celina). FW Dmd Hill-Jarvis played only 4-A competition in their predistrict, although none made the playoffs ( I think). Please remember that this is just an experiment and is still being adjusted. This system has a range of about +25 to -25, and an absolute ordinary team being zero. This ranking doesn't reflect regional strengths or account for a region having better competition.

SintonFan, Not too many posters on here from that area, but Matthew should be familiar with it.

LOL... Sorry. There's three numbers...
Initial= raw data with no adjusting
W/Opp= adjusted for competition with final regular season record in mind
W/Pl-off= final power ranking after all said and done, a number to represent the end of the particular team's season
Total system has a point total of 50 points.

The system equivalent of +25 points= Best of the best

0 points= normal as normal can be

-25 points= as bad as a bad team can be

I'm doing research to try a ranking system for the upcoming year. The system will be based on what I'm trying to do here, so that's why I need the feedback. Thanks.

Ok I see....I'd say the ranking is fairly accurate...I think the number for Hutch is a bit low and Pinkston's number is a lil high...but other than that it seems fairly accuarte...
