Mustang Bowl?

Although I have been there three times, I can't recall if the mustang bowl in Sweetwater is underground. I seem to think that the top of the stands is ground level, however, little Z motion thinks that it is built in between two burms and that you have to walk up to go in the stadium and then walk down.

Someone settle this thing between the old man and the yougster.

You are both right. If you enter the stadium from the south or east you can just walk in and go down into the bowl. If you approach from the west or north (home field house) you have to walk upwards and then down to take a seat.

I think when it was built, way back when, the east side was the high side and the area where the field is was leveled and the dirt was pushed back towards the west. JMO...

Thanks for the info. I approached from the south side as I parked by the school. My son played and I guess the field house is to the north because I remember him walking down a lot of steps to get down to the field.

yep, he had a long uphill walk coming from the home field house.
