Figured this could be informative... Kinda thought it up at work...

The Cuero Junior High is across the street from CHS...

I know that Vanderbilt Industrial High School is FIVE miles away from its junior high (which is in Lolita) Vanderbilt-Industrial was 3A from '98 to '02 until dropping back down to 2A...

Just thought it'd be fun to see how far these things are away etc...

I dunno if anyone can be as worse (in 3A, atleast) as Victoria Memorial... Their Fresh/Soph campus is about 2 miles from their Junior/Senior Campus

West Columbia JH is currently 6 blocks away, but after an ugly, 3 month fight between us and Brazoria, the new one is gonna be about 10 miles away....gonna tear up the JH football field too, which is about 60 years old....

Our JH is about 5 years old and connected to the high school on the opposite side of the cafeteria.

Do you have a kid (or kids) in High School then a kid (or kids) in Jr. High?

The schools are close enough for a little finger exchange between the sibs ya know?

Okay, I'll stop...

No....blended family. I have 3 kids - 15, 16, 18 and my husband has 2 - 15 and 18.

All 5 kids are within 3 years and 3 months of each other!

The football field is in between Bellville JH and HS.

Currently Raymondville High School is approximately 7 to 8 blocks from one of our Junior Highs, Myra Green Middle School. Our other feeder campus is ~7 miles west at LaSara.

There are plans to build a new middle school and make it similar to the Greenwood setup...the HS and MS campuses seperated by the HS cafeteria.

Our Jr. High is in the middle of town and the High School is right outside it, about a mile away. We built a new football stadium at the High School that will be ready at the end of this month. I guess our old stadium, which is located beside the Jr. High, will be used only by them now. Cool!

Sinton High School is at 400 N Pirate Blvd, which is off 188... heading towards Taft...
E Merle Smith Jr High is on 181 i believe...(San Patricio St.), and is heading towards Odem...

So they are on opposite sides of town...

I never realized that most schools were spread apart like that.

I grew up in a 2-A school and now my kids go to Greenwood. Both schools from Elementary to High School were all there right together.

As i said, the Middle School and High School are connected, and the Elementary (which is the old high school) is across the football field!

I know what you mean Ranger Mom. I went to High School in Freer and the three schools (high school, junior high and elementary) were all close together on the southwest part of town which made it convenient. The football stadium is close by and I think they have built a track and baseball and softball stadium close by.

And that "football field" is named The Pasture of Pain, for those of you new to 3ADL and Bellville sports! Go Brahmas!

Well our Jr high is the middle of town while the high school (& elementary school) is outside the city limits... I'd have to guess about 2.5 miles apart... the Jr high use to be the old high school so the old field is still there... it's the practice field for the jr high... but they get bused to the high school for games...

Until three years ago LW had its' Elementary, Intermediate, and MS together South of HWY 199(Jacksboro HWY). The HS is North of 199 about a mile and a half away. At that time there was saying when your youngest started HS, "I've got all mine the other side of Jacksboro HWY." A new Elementary opened three years ago North of the HS and the saying no longer applies. An interesting note, the new Elementary caused the closing of the Intermediate school(Grades 5-6) as 5th grade became Elementary and 6th is now MS. The Intermediate school was built in the late '30s under FDR's WPA program. It's completely underground(three stories) and was a regional designated Bomb Shelter.
