Believe it or not, but West Oso is 2-0 with wins over Fal (not a bad team) and San diego. Both were playoff teams last year. Oso fairly dominated both. This week West Oso plays Yoakum this week. We'll see what they are made of. I think Yoakum by 7.

Follow this link for more Oso info:

I think the rushing yards for Oso are a little inflated, though.

If the Bears are back. This district's ranking should go up alot. The Aransas Pass loss to Rockport should be thrown out the window because that's an ancient rivalry. In that series usually the worst team wins (ala the cowboys recent dominance over the redskins). Aransas should field a quality team this year. Ingleside lost to an up and coming 4-A, PL Calhoun. I believe Davenport is still at Calhoun.

Could be an interesting year in 30-3A.

Boy, if I had been asked which two 30-3A teams would be 2-0 this week, I think I would have missed one of them. Those weren't powerhouses they played though. Still, 2-0 is 2-0.

Yep, 66. West Oso started last year 0-2, with a 0-43 loss to Rice Cons. and a 0-34 loss to Refugio. What a difference a year has made. I too would have included Mathis in the 2-0 ranks.

Mathis fans are hearing it from a refugio fan for dishing the bobcats. And GP King stating that gp was the better team. They played just as good as sinton did but they are not better. Just started reading the coastal bend site had alot of reading to do to get to todays date.

I don't even read Queeny's post anymore. Sometimes I think he's got to be a perverse version of Rudy (the movie "Rudy"). I can see the guy now, he's broken into GP's locker room and set up a bed there. Then he sneeks off to the library to post as many a$$inine remarks as he can. Then he goes back to his hidy-hole in the GP locker room and downs a gaterade and granola bar and wonders where his life went wrong. All the while listening to Alice DJ sing "Are you better off alone?" in his head.
just my take on the whole thing...

The sensible GP fan left me a pm on the pig and said he thought King wasn't all there if you know what I mean. One bubble off plumb. Wonder how much he liked his "tatoo".

Data Poll has Yoakum +18.5. Think that might be pretty close to reality here. I don't expect WO to be able to hang with Yoakum. I'll call Yoakum by 14.

West Oso has always had quality athletes. If they're motivated and have some coaching they can compete. I'm not predicting an upset, only that IF they are back, the score will be closer than some believe.
Please check PM, 66 (Give me a minite)
