Kennedale so high and Decatur not on the list?

Yah, gunna be a heckuva a matchup...

Sealy was ranked #1 and Cuero #2 when we hooked up my junior year ('99)... Intense atmosphere in a game that was already a rivalry...

We lost 26-3, though :(

Well, kinda...

94-97 were the years they did the 4-in-a-row, then in '98 they took a first round exit to 2A Move-up Vanderbilt-Industrial (7-6), the next year, they went 15-1, losing to Commerce in a close one up in Irving (it was a good game, I was there, my cuz was a cheerleader for Sealy)...

Gobbla, remember the game that Sealy lost to Industrial was the week that it rained 5" during every game that night. Cuero had Hitchcock in the first round. We barely got by them. Heard about Sealy on the way home.

Actually, it was Needville in Rosenburg (Hitchcock the year before in Wharton... I get 'em confused all of the time)... Hitchcock was a heck of a game, 28-21 if I'm not mistaken, and the Needville game we barely came out of... We were down 7-0, blocked a punt and got within a point, then made a field goal, 9-7 was the final... What a game...

But on that drive home we heard the radio guy say "And a shocker in 3A, coming up next..." We were like "No way in hell that happened..." Sure 'nuff, guys comes back and comfirms it...

You are correct. I'm old. The mind is the first thing to go

It's not just you, I sat here for about 5 minutes before clicking 'post message' to make sure I was correct... They both involved the first round of the playoffs and highway 59, so there are some simularities...

Is the DFW Coalition losing its stroke or something?? :D Just kidding. I know at the end of the season their teams will be back on top. ;) I don't know about this poll. WOS or Atlanta or Marlin or Sinton or Gainesville is the rightful no. 1 team. Jasper does not need that monkey on its back. :(

Polls are just that. They represent what people who do not see every team "feels" or thinks. Polls and rankings do not put points on the board. Pehaps either Kennedale is over rated or Decatur is under rated as evidenced by the 26-7 score this Thursday night.

where did you find this at

I'm not sure about Lindale being ranked that high, and I'm really not sure that my Buckeyes are a #15 team. We've had some good scrimmages so far and I look forward to a good game on Thursday against Longview Pine Tree, but I would prefer the Buckeyes to come out of relative obscurity this year and surprise some people considering the number of players lost from last year's team.
Back to the first point though, IMHO Lindale will be overrated this year. No offense Eagles, it's just my opinion. Y'all can prove me wrong on Sept. 10!

Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I guess that is what 3A DL is all about....
I would rate in 5A-----#1 Humble #2 Katy, by far

In 4A-- I would rate Dayton the #1 team and PNG in the top five!

There is no "deserving" to it. This simply reflects some people's opinions about which teams are likely to be the best.
