As of Friday, I am now set to leave for the United States Marine Corps Recruit Training Depot in San Diego, California on January 18th, 2005. I might move the date a little sooner or later depending on circumstances. I picked the MOS of Assault man for now but after I get my bachelor's degree... (in about 2 years) I can become an 2nd Lt. Just had to share the news with you guys and gals!

My step-bro (he's like 22) just said the heck with it and joined the Navy, will be leaving for Illinois the 17th of august... Is strongly considering the Seals.... I think he's crazy enough...

Congratulations to you X21, and good luck! I wish you had participated in the Orange Jr Marksmanship Unit with some of the others I coached. You would have the AR15 marksmanship part down. One of the Bridge City 2002 graduates (Gauthier) was one of my better marksmen. He shot a clean 100 out of a 100 possible with the smallbore at the district rifle match at Rosenburg. My son has won the Louisiana Jr State Championship at Fort Polk and recently won the Texas State Sporter High Power match at San Antonio, shooting the AR15. Wish you could have participated with us.
