im not sure about the Fullmer trade since he's on the DL, but I think the Mets trade was.

Fullmer told the Padres that he wouldn't be healthy within the next couple of weeks, so they backed out...

The Rangers also acquired Larry Walker from Colorado, but Larry invoked his no-trade clause to stay with the Rockies...he was going to cost the Rangers $17 million in guaranteed money, so I'm glad he turned it down...we need that money for pitching like Millwood or Russ Ortiz. On the other hand, I could only imagine the headlines had the trade gone through: "Walker-Texas Ranger" :D

wouldn't it be amazing if the Cubs and Red Sox ended up with the wild cards in their leagues and met in the World Series? Cubs win and Red Sox nation has the "Curse of the Garciaparra" to deal with...:eek:
