I've always loved that mascot. The "Gobblers" thats freakin original. I first heard it when I was in highschool and I've always thought it was the coolest school name and mascot. The Cuero Gobblers, that's the shiznit!! It just kind of rolls off the tongue, doesn't it?

I have followed WO-S since their first title run in 1986. To see the Mustangs do as we did in the 70's making it to the finals 3 years in row winning 2 and losing the last brought back memories. That's a great accomplishment.:clap:

Yah, but when you were in high school, OG, the Gobblers upset then number 1 ranked Ennis in the semi's... So I guess our record against those cowardly lions is a big 1-1... Now that their QB's gone, I think we should schedule a game with Ennis the Menace... wudda ya think?

76, the Gobblers started out as usual Winning. Then came District 14-3A East Zone play and lost a Game to New Braunfels. The Gobblers didn't make the playoffs because only one team went to the playoffs then.
