That is one of the many reasons I don't venture down to the beach.

That is some sick stuff... if that isn't enough to keep you out of the water, I heard on the radio this morning that there was 2 shark attacks this weekend, no fatalities but one kid lost the use of his hand. I think I'll be staying away from the beach the rest of this summer...

A state epidemiologist even reports cases of infections caused by otherwise healthy people having sex in the surf.

Whoa!! Yet another reason for abstinance!:D

A guy I work with was telling us about his wade-fishing trip yesterday in Port O'Conner today... I told him if he starts to feel sick in any way to head straight to the ER...

Geez, the worst I ever got was the barb from a hardhead stuck in me. I had never heard of this before either. I've been fishing on the coast all my life.

They say it has been in the water for years. Just never been publicly reported.

If you go out in the water, make sure all of your cuts are not exposed to the water (which is tough, so just don't go)... Also, staying in choppier watever is good, the bacteria like still water from I hear...

I wonder if that liquid bandage stuff would work?

Yah, but what if they have bacteria swimming in the liquid bandages?
