Texas A&M has been chosen as the site for the 2005 NCAA Women's final soccer national championship games! Get your hotel reservations and order your tickets for the 2005 Games. The NCAA is looking for a permanent site and College Station would be ideal with great weather in December usually and a new soccer field so maybe we can get this in Texas! Yee Haw! It would be great if either the Aggie or Longhorn Ladies could be in the tournament but even though both have great teams and did outstanding recruiting this is a sport that is dominated by one college team and that is North Carolina and unfortunately both teams would probably have to beat NC before getting to this tournament and is just ain't going to happen. When one team or school dominates a sport year after year the sport is bound to suffer - look at what happened to the Women's World Soccer League which was formed after the great popularity started after the world cup victory over China then died out. Then after the disaster last year in our own Country against Germany that farther demised the sport :(. There is faint hope in the olympics but don't count on it. And NC will again dominate in college in 2004, 2005, etc. Sorry college and hs soccer girls but if you want to continue playing after college have your bags packed and ready to leave the country. :(
