Word is that todays starting pitcher is out for the season with a fractured elbow? Does this put the Rangers in a must trade spot? Id be willing to give up an older player like Mench or Eric Young for some pitching, this team chemistry might not be there next year.

yeah...I know that the manangement is saying they don't want to mortgage the future for the present, but I think they have enough depth in the minors with guys like Adrian Gonzalez, Ramon Nivar, and Sam Narron that they could afford to deal one or two prospects for at least one starting pitcher. Heck, I'd be willing to deal a lot of prospects for Randy Johnson considering he's still got another full year on his contract, but I think we at least HAVE to have a Kris Benson, Cory Lidle, Livan Hernandez, or Ted Lilly.

I really hope we can get Benson in here. He is a really good pitcher but you dont here much about him because he is on a poor team. Livan Hernandez is another pitcher that I like. I have always been a fan of his. Like Benson, he is stuck on a team headed no where. I think we could get either one of the two without having to give up the future.

For Nivar I would because Nix is going to be our center fielder for the future.
