Just found out some interesting information about the Aggie team from the 'Coaches Night' event last night... Coach Fran announced the football team will be wearing white shoes instead of black, white face masks and (the BIG one is) they will not have their names on the back the jersey's anymore...

For a school with lots of football history, Texas A&M sure does change their uniforms a lot!

2004: white face masks, white shoes
2003: shrinking "Texas A&M" on the jersey front
2002: changing last name font to pre-1995 font
2002: change to white socks for road games
2001: shrinking "aTm" on helmet
2001: change to maroon socks for road games
2000: maroon face masks instead of white
1999: remove "southwestern motiff";adding single stripe to sleeves
1999: return to original jersey numbers font
1998: slight change to jersey numbers font
1996: add "southwestern motiff" pattern to jersey collar and sleeves. Change font of last name on jersey back
1995: enlarge font of last name on jersey back.
1995:change jersey sleeves from 2 stripes to 1 stripe
1995: switch to white pants for road games

Why do I remember so much useless crap?

So that when something like this is brought up you can enlighten us... thanks for sharing the information... and I agree about the changes... it's amazing... makes me wonder if they would concentrate on what they do on the field instead of how they look - could they have been ranked better...

I like the idea of the bringing back the white face masks. Too much maroon karma provided too many loses. I'm blaming the unis!

Name doesn't ring a bell with me... but if they live in Caldwell I probably know the faces... names I'm bad with (even though it eventually come to me) but a face I can remember...

Don't know about Dr. Stigler....Mrs. Porter works in the equestrian field, and her high school age daughter ( can't think of her name right now) was killed in a car wreck several years ago. They own a largr ranch out toward FM 358 (?) Anyway, my mother is very close to her family....that's my Caldwell connection....

That's terrible about those teenagers. Alice's daughter travelled around the country competing in rodeos....

Yes, my internet site is what I do. Glad you like the pics, I've only had it up for a few weeks. I'll have more picture up by later this afternoon as I figure how build these things!

By the time it is all finished they will be back where they started.

If you have ever been to Kyle Field, they have a sports muesum there that has all the changes to the football uniforms with a sample helmet to look at. Pretty neat.

ATM seems to be having a somewhat difficult time recruiting the minorities to College Station. No coaching change or uniform change can remedy the fact that the most talented athletes tend not to want to enroll at your school. It could be worse. You could be in Waco.

I don't mind the Ags changing their uniforms so much. Variety is the spice of life. There is no uniform uglier, for instance, than the unchanging 1950s-style uniforms of the Penn State Nittany Lions.

I sure wish the Longhorns would try something other than all-white on the road. What would be wrong with burnt orange pants?

Does it really matter? it's just A&M :D

I agreewith what your saying about the recruits. Look who there top defensive player was this past year. Jackson Appel. A white rb from friendswood. I am a die hard a&m fan. I hate to see them play so bad. And look how it effected the players. The team had like 8 DWI charges. Hands down, running off R.C. was the biggest mistake.
