Kirbyville has 3 losses and Jasper, Newton and Diboll cannot get to 3 losses with just one more district game to go.

Congratulations to Diboll. Now you can fight it out with Newton for second in district.

thats our biggest test i believe they are set up just like us barely losing to jasper barely beating k-ville we should be able to take this game by a close one.

Following that line:

Diboll 21- Carthage 0....Diboll by 21 over a top ten team.

Diboll 42 - K'ville 28...Diboll by 14 over a not top ten team.

That was the "eye opener" part to me.

carthage was over rated at the beggining of the year. Diboll is a good team more of there match might be newton

Carthage is still a better team than K'ville, then and now.

By the way Mistanice, Newton beat Huntington 56 to 7 and punted on first down in the fourth. Those scores don't mean a thing. Just bring all you got to Newton Friday and we'll have a game. LOL. :D

Agree...but Diboll has it ups an downs when they play a really tough team its like they get mentally prepared to play that team, when they player a lower class team like "huntington" they dont play as hard. Its weird.. but its diboll.

hey trojandad incase u didnt get to catch the game vs kirbyville. that last score came on our 3rd team defense and took up 5 mins of the 4th and the other scores came on a pass to the wide out an he just outran our corner. they did that 3 times. they didnt run the ball on us just like carthage didnt run it on us. Carthage couldnt pass the ball so which they couldnt get any postive yards for first downs.

I hope you are not assuming that Newton will not run the ball on you.

From what i've seen in district play, our defense really steps it up in the 2nd half.

They held jasper to no score in the 2nd half, as well as Kville until the last few mins of the game when our 2nd-3rd teamers were in.

Dtown has allowed 56 pts in district while newton has allowed 75.
Diboll has scored 151 pts, while newton has scored 158.

Mistanice, None of the stats you are giving are gonna matter come friday night. It doesn't matter how many point we've scored, you've scored, allowed, how bad we beat huntington, how bad you beat huntinton, or how bad jasper's beat both of us. Every friday night the score starts 0-0 with 0 total yards gained or allowed. So no matter how the matchup looks on paper, you won't know anything untill the cleats hit the grass at 7:30 in Singletary Stadium. JMHO

Well i know those stats dont mean much. I posted that above. I was just bored at work and thought i would use my math skills and add some numbers. Anyways whoever loses, it wont be by more than 10 points. It's ten pts either way. I'm not even gonna give a prediction.

My hats off to the Jacks. Diboll played better football in the second half. Good luck on the rest of your games.

So, what was the difference in the game? Kville turn the ball over too much? Penalties?

The Cats couldn't get it together in the second half. They couldn't pass, catch,or run. Diboll was making changes and playing better football.

This weeks game should be a good one. I am agreeing with Mistanice. The game will not be won by 10 by either team. It will be a great game. Both are in the playoffs, but depending on the win, one team plays 2nd or 1st place teams in playoffs. Good luck to both teams

It`s gonna be good game but i see Newton winning by atleast 21 pionts. Dibols D is not gonna be able to stop their running game but when they do they have to find a way to stop the pass and that looked kinof hard for them to do. They have some faster recievers than us. WR #20 for yall, he`s over rated. For every one to say are secondary is not very good, were was he at.But, good luckto both teams.

Diboll can beat Newton if they have no TURN OVERS. Newton & Diboll seem to be a pretty matched team in most areas. What it will come down to is the game plan & making adjustments to it during the game. Kirbyville's problem is & has been all season long, they start out with a game plan and never make adjustments to it. Especially half time adjustments. If Kirbyville is not blowing you away at half time don't expect them to beat you in the second half. Now Diboll made the necessary adjustments to win the game against Kirbyville and they will have to do the same thing with Newton. Newton is fast and very well coached. Diboll plays with a lot of determination is well coached also. It will be a battle to the end. Good Luck to Both teams. :p :D

Ok if he is so bad then why is he getting huge receptions for the Lumberjacks? YOu are just saying that because Diboll won and that is the bottom line.

I dont know about # 20 being over-rated. Reason you didnt see much of him was because Diboll got the running game going successful. We didnt have to go to #20 because #43 Stephen Lewis was running the ball all over the place. He ran for 4 touchdowns. #20 did have another touchdown in the corner of the endzone. Just happened to outjump every1. He's had at least one touchdown in the last 7 games. We'll be looking for Newton try double coverage on him like every other team has the past few weeks.

BigKilla
11-03-2003, 02:27 PM
yeah, I guess that`s true. They did start running the ball and no he did not out jump everyone on the team, he out jumped one person. I dont even know why he waisted his energy to jump I mean come on a 6`5 reciver v.s. a 5`10 corner back who do you think is gonna catch the ball. If that is soo, that he out jumped veryone, than i ques #21 out ran everyone on yalls team.He is not even a wide reciever and had more yards than yalls starting widereciever #20.Loke I said yall are no match for newton. Their gonna run all over yall and theres nothing yall can do about it. Good game though. As long as they dont turn the ball over they will win.

SETtxFB, you are completely goofy. What game were you at Friday night. I was at the Kirbyville/Diboll game, and it wasnt the coaches that lost the game. In my opinion it wasnt the adjustments or lack of that Kirbyville's staff did, or didn't make that cost them. They turned the ball over 4 times in the 2nd half, which Diboll scored 2 short touchdowns on. Their coaches didn't fumble. On drives Kirbyville didn't turn it over, Diboll never stopped. So why make adjustments? They scored 28 pts. Kirbyville didn't deserve to win and Diboll did. Congratulation to them and good luck.

I was at the game also and will have to agree with oakflat, turnovers cost the Wildcats the game and not lack of adjustments.
