Predicted Order of Finish:

1. Carthage
2. Tatum
3. Longview Spring Hill
4. White Oak
5. Center

1. Carthage Bulldogs Starters Returning 7/6 Last Year: 8-4
Key Players: FB Kardilaris Beechum, QB Derek Holson, WR Jason Teague
Outlook: Carthage has fallen in Rd 2 to Forney 2 seasons in a row....with 7 back on offense and 6 on D Carthage could very well make a run in what many feel could be weakened Div 1 in Region 2......Beechum ran for over 1100 yards as junior.....Holson adds balance as he threw for 1000 as a junior.....Darren Holland could be a great addition to the backfield along with Beechum....

2. Tatum Eagles Starters Returning 7/6 Last Year: 8-5
Key Players: QB Stephen Hodge, WR Taurean Stoker, OL Brian Coleman
Outlook: Hodge may be the very best QB in the entire class with over 3700 total yards and 45 TD's (yes 45)......but he can't do it alone......Stoker is a speedy reciever with excellent hands...however the main problem for the Green and White will be finding a TB to take the rushing load off Hodge...Tatum was eliminated by Gilmer in the Regional Semi-Finals in 2003.....Hodge is considered by many to be the top player in East Texas...

3. Longview Spring Hill Panthers Starters Returning 6/9 Last Year: 9-2
Key Players: OL/DL Brandon Carter, DE Mike Smith, RB DeMario Thomas
Outlook: Last year defense was the achilles heel for SH.....but look for it to be a strength in 2004.....Thomas is the little brother JaMario Thomas and he'll be fed the ball consistently.....Smith will be starting for his 4th year...Spring Hill was beaten by Carthage 62-30 in bi-district in 2003...

4. White Oak Roughnecks Starters Returning 5/5 Last Year: 7-4
Key Players: FB/LB Tyler Simmons, QB Nathan Skeen, OL Klint Blankinship
Outlook: White Oak is in a much tougher loop than in 2003 after making the postseason and losing a heartbreaker 22-21 to Tatum...Simmons leads the team on both sides of the ball....

5. Center Roughriders Starters Returning 8/6 Last Year: 0-10
Key Players: OL Cole Harrison, LB David Sheilds, WR Montrell Pennington
Outlook: The Roughriders are 2-18 the past 2 seasons....Sheilds leads the D as he had 138 tackles last year.......
