Port Isabel's Coach

I have never seen a whole lot on here about Monte Stumbaugh, Port Isabel's head coach. He came from Cuero. Kind of got blamed when the offense here languished. I think our head coach was overiding most of his calls. He ended up looking bad and got run. He was always a favorite of everybody. We are all glad to see him doing well. Has there ever been any rumor of him heading to 4A or 5A? Just curious.

He's under contract at Port Isabel through the 2007 season and also got a very nice pay raise. I'd be SHOCKED if he left Port Isabel to go coach 4A or 5A ball. He's a very nice man, and the players and community love him.

Coach Stump was my fav. coach at Cuero...

He's one of the best men I've ever been around in my life and I feel horrible every time I think about how people viewed him around here his last few years at Cuero...
