Exchange Sinton and Cuero. While Sinton made great strides toward the last half of the season, Cuero was a better team. Sinton will be improved but will have much more to improve than the Gobblas.
.
Otherwise, this poll looks very balanced.

One of the best polls I've seen yet. Although I don't know about making Carrollton Ranchview a top 25 team untill they prove they can play at the 3A varsity level.

I think Crandall is going to be a team to watch.....6 back on offense and 10 back on defense.....and 26 letterman back on a 3A team is a TON......

I've been touting Ranchview all along..watch out....they have Atlanta type speed...and that is no exaggeration....

Crandall's defense is going to be strong this year. Still some ??? on offense though.

I like your poll Matt.

Leave it just the way it is. Those extra Playoff games will give the Pirates a slight edge in my opinion.:)

I like yours much better than Dave Campbell's. I've never been all that impressed by his polls anyway. Good job, Matthew.

Matt, can you explain to me how a state semifinalist is not even considered top 25 material?

PI is gonna be down some this year..they lost a lot of talent...lets face it...they benefitted from regon 4 being weak in D2....that showed when they were rolled by Marlin 41-10 and then Marlin got dominated by Atlanta 34-0....

This isn't a diss at PI becuase I had em ranked last year...I just feel that overall teams like Yoakum, Liberty Hill are gonna be real tough down in reg 4...also don't forget Wharton who will be Div 2 likely this year also....overall I'd rank PI somewhere around 30-35....

I'd say they're losing more speed than talent. PI will be losing an all-stater in Iracheta, which i don't know if you know, but he was gettin more hurt each week (kept on re-injuring his hamstring) Before Marlin, PI played in what was almost a 4hr game against Rice which basically did Iracheta in, thus long runs from Marlin, PI had another player just as fast as Iracheta, but Marlin played it right and went against the injured Iracheta.

As a matter of fact i believe J. Nieto will be coming back, he was the workhorse of the runningbacks and had most of the OT tds in that Rice quarterfinal game(Nieto also played DB/Safety). PI also has an awesome Punter in L. Ochoa (41.8 avg) which was also a receiver/DB and i believe might be PIs new qb. I personally say there were about 5 exceptional players on the team but 3 of em will be back thus my point of view that the team will probably NOT be less talented.

WHERE'S KIRBYVILLE?!?;) :)

Actually I look for Kirbyville to be improved this year. Not top 25 material yet, but they could be by years end.

Kirbyville could very well be dark horse in region 3. They will be tough and could slip up some teams that take them lightly. I look for them to finish second, behind Jasper, in their district but have the potential to win district if Jasper overlooks them.

Wasn't Bellville 13-0 upto playing Marlin, but lost to the state finalists, Marlin, by 2pts

Who's coming back?
