Astros acquire Beltran from Royals

Astros trade Octavio Dotel and minor leaguer John Buck for Carlos Beltran. Kansas City then trades Dotel to Oakland.

This is HUGE!!! Beltran is arguably the best all-around player in the league. Great job by the Stro's front office, glad to see them doing what it takes to get it done this year. I look for them to move Ensberg or Lamb for bullpen relief. Maybe a Tim Worrell type. I think Lidge has closer stuff, but the pen is not very deep.
