Hi, I just paid 166.9 for gas at that Conoco in Bridge City. With my Conoco 3%(5 cents discount); that makes a price of 161.9!!
I can't wait for CNN and USA Today to brag on Geo. W. Bush for handling this little gas crisis so quickly!:)

I bet they will lavish great amounts of attention on this cheaper gas. If fact, President Bush will get all the credit. He was working hard to bring these prices down ya know. The media will make sure and document all his hard work.;)

On the news this morning there was a report that Abilene has the highest average for gas in the state of Texas. Lucky us. I think our prices are at about $1.91.

I work in Beaumont, it is $1.89 there, but in Bridge City, cheapeast i've seen is $1.65. Bridge City has always had the cheapest gas anywhere in the Golden Triangle, and realistically, anywhere between East Texas and Houston.

The truck stop at Sinton had gas at $1.69. It is coming down.

$1.70 here.

My dad told me last week that it was still in the $1.80's in Jasper. I can't believe it's still that high there when it's .20 cheaper in BC.

OC, thanks for the invite. But, i won't be heading that way for a few more weeks. I made a change in vehicles recently that is compensating for the higher prices here in Houston. I bought a Honda Civic 3 weeks ago to get me from point A (home) to point B (work) and back cheaply. I did the math before I bought the car & I am going to be saving OVER $1,675.00 each year vs. my old vehicle (Dodge Durago) which is for sale if anyone wants to but it!! ;) I hope the trend keeps coming down on gas prices as we all need it!!!
