Zapata went 5A to 3A, but back in 2000 (I think) they opted to go into the 5A Laredo district with 4A numbers due to the distances they would have had to travel to be in a 4A district

WOS had about 1300 kids in the mid 80s when that used to be the 5A cut-off in the early to mid 80s. Orange then shrunk as unemployment hit 20% in the Reagan years, and enrollment has flucuated around 900 since. New families now build homes north of the Interstate which is LCM schools....People rather live in the woods instead of the swamp.
