where did the Wilmer Hutchins basketball coach go? He take a job somewhere else?

i read on another board that Hosea Lee took a another job that was worth it and he doesnt have to move...

did he take the Forney job?

the coach that took gainesville to the final four this year isn't all he's cracked up to be. he got there because of region II being a cakewalk this past year. (that is, based on previous years when region 2 was the hardest region, ever!)

with that said, coach lee wanted to come back to gainesville last year, but *someone* didn't want him there. :eek:

anywho, when i went back to gainesville a few weeks ago, i heard he was heading back to tyler to coach at his alma mater.

nah...he turned down that job....he said it was because he didnt want to move again. He supposedly just took a job to where he didnt have to move again!

and im sorry...just anyone cant coach a team and take them to the final four in the state. It takes a good coach to make it to the tourney

not really. the coach before coach lee wasn't a good coach and he had success because of the athletes. he would just sit on the bence while we played and only argued calls with the refs.

well if he turned down that job, then i don't know where he went. i'll try to find out though.

oh yeah i forgot...coaches only coach during games....they dont spend all their time away from families and friends for practices or anything like that....

come on...coaching isnt just limited to games...you have to be a good coach and know basketball in order to be a successful head coach in high school....especially 3A and up....

i didn't say a poor coach doesn't know basketball. you can know all the basketball skills, trades, tricks in the book and still be a bad coach.

btw--why did the forney coach quit?

I figure it was the Lancaster job...nicer area, better pay, GREAT athletes, tradition...plus it's right next to Wilmer-Hutchins....their longtime head man Coach Rushing retired at the end of the season..

YES HE DID GET THE LANCASTER JOB. WILMER-HUTCHINS BASKETBALL TEAM RETURN EVERYBODY FROM A TEAM THAT WENT 3 ROUNDS IN THE PLAYOFFS. ALSO A HAVE JUNIOR HIGH TEAM THAT WON DALLAS LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP. IT IS A PRETTY GOOD JOB TO TAKE.
